A few months ago we reported that the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the luxurious and coveted jewelry company, Tiffany and Co. had partnered to give away grants to past CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominees who specialized in jewelry design and the first two lucky winners have been announced.
After much deliberation by some of the fashion industries biggest critics including, Anna Wintour, President of Tiffany & Co. Michael Kowalski, Senior Accessories Editor, Meredith Melling Burke (she replaced Filipa Fino after Fino’s departure from the magazine in June), and Steven Kolb, Eddie Borgo and Monique Pean were each awarded grants to further their design business. Pean and Borog beat out former nominees Anthony Nak, Philip Crangi, Dean Harris, Subversive Jewelry, Irene Neuwirth, House of Waris, and Pamela Love for the career changing prizes. Pean was given $150,000.00 and Borgo $100,000.
Congrats to Monique and Eddie!
The 2011 CFDA Tiffany & Co. nominees have been announced and are Dana Lorenz, repeat nominee, Pamela Love, and Soraya Silchenstedt. We will be sure to announce the winner in 2011! Stay Tuned.
