Essential Accessories for Women: Jewelry, Watches and Gloves!
Part 3 of the fashion blog’s 4 part series on the must have accessories for all women.
Jewelry! I love jewelry (if you haven’t noticed: Tiffany photo shoot – John Hardy Love Affair.) Because it is one of those things that you really can’t own enough of. I am simply going to chalk it up to earrings, necklaces, rings, and cuffs. So, we will count jewelry as 4 but in reality this number will be a lot higher. Some people own more earrings than the other jewelry pieces, while others own hundreds of cuffs or bangles. Jewelry is a self expression and as long as the metals of your outfits jive then you are doing okay wardrobing this part of your accessory essentials.
A watch is as telling of who you are as it tells time (LAME!) But seriously, when I was the watch specialist at Holt Renfrew I could tell a lot about the person just from the type of watch they had. From Swiss movement watches to Japanese trinkets, and from Swarovsky crystal bezels to diamond encrusted master pieces, people are defined by their wrist watch. I like to think of watches as an investment that can either compliment ones style, overthrow it, or just act as an addition to ones glitterati.
Like most things fashion you get what you pay for and therefore I say save up and invest in a watch that is really you. Wear it until it breaks, then get it repaired and wear it some more. if you wanted a quick bangle, go back to the jewelry section.
Gloves are what made Lady Gaga and they can do the same for you. Well… lets not get carried away but they are cool. Go out, grab a pair of red biker fingerless gloves and watch as you instantly earn street cred! That and you’ll love how it brings out your new Chanel Dragon red nail polish.
