I dream in Exotic Handbags. Presenting The Kittie, The Verve, and The Antigona
When a waiting list is all that stops you from getting that ultra lux handbag you need for a special event or gala, it can be pretty devastating. Waiting lists are probably the one thing in the world where throwing money at the problem, simply won’t solve it. So… instead of worrying about it, why don’t you learn what’s in style for Fall 2014 and be ahead of the list-waiters. Because let’s face it, the list is filled with people who are behind the curve, and by the time they get their bags, that style will likely be on it’s way out.
So instead of re-writing what’s “in” in terms of silhouettes, styles or brands, let’s take a look at what’s trending on twitter and social media and I’ll tell you where you can buy them right now. Or worst case scenario, if they haven’t been released yet where to pre-order them.
This stunning exotic tote is from Salvatore Ferragamo called the Kittie ($4,900). It’s supple snakeskin which is hand dyed and absolutely gorgeous. Made in Italy and hella expensive, this stunner is as individual as a snowflake. It’s blue hues stand out from the taupe backdrop where a sea of neutrality ebbs and flows (which somehow justifies the shocking price-tag).
The Verve tote has an intense sea of blue’s that collide with each other in an almost infinite battle of scaly aqua warfare . The tote, that has silver hardware and rugged zips along the outside pockets, is one of the best examples of a day to evening handbags. Be sure to keep this bag in it’s dustbag when not in use, as with any exotic skin, this tote is delicate and requires care and attention.

First off there’s my favorite style from Givenchy, the Antigona bag ($35,900). This medium sized crocodile satchel is worth it’s weight in gold. The style has been around since 2011, meaning, it’s not going anywhere for awhile and having been in the lime light for the last few years, it’s what the fashion world calls “tried, tested and true” and seasonless or timeless. Having this bag will get you in front row at fashion week, at that new club on the strip, or that table at the hottest restaurant on Bleeker. Also, when you’re tired of it, sell it for an increases price as these styles will appreciate in value as time goes on.
I hope you enjoyed my top three picks for Fall 2014 exotic handbag selection. Tell me what you think of the handbags and which one is your favorite in the comments below.
