Congrats Katy Perry For Gripping My Attention For 15 Whole Minutes
That actually wasn’t a jab… it’s typically hard to get me to watch a 4 minute long vid. In addition to having the attention span of a gnat, I also… What was I saying
Anyway, Katy Perry (whose voice was NOT at all like it is on the radio) wore that… interestingly awkward flame dress (Mrs Human Torch?) atop that human powered lion… then that stupidly cute beach ball strappy dress, then that Missy Elliott duo 49ers perforated zip up sack… Ew. Finally the full length silver dress she rocked on that shooting star, well… that was pretty neat…
BUT the way it oscillated slowly across the sky-y-y was not as overwhelming as I’m sure the budget was for that show. But Truth Be Had, I loved Lenny Kravitz in Saint Laurent Paris and… all that fire. FIIIIIIIRRRRRREEEEEEEEE!
Things I love: Fire, Clothing, Lenny Kravitz, Gifs, people who destroy dance moves including but not limited to the “Jersey Turnpike”, the “Drop and Grind” and “The Dog” and luckily, Katy Perry managed to sleigh all those during the 3 second gif above… that has to be a record. Oh didn’t know about the dance move called “The Dog?”
Literally… it’s a thing.
If you missed the game… it really doesn’t matter, but if you missed the halftime show I give my condolences. It was actually worth watching. So below I’ve added the video from some interesting YouTube Channel. I hope it lasts until the end of this week.
So let’s talk fashion! This is a fashion blog after all. Katy was wearing Jeremy Scott exclusively. Which kind of explained why all the looks were so costume-y… also… they were costumes. But anyway. Stars, flames, and beach-y beach balls are all things Scott has used before in his collections and collaborations so kudos to originality. But moreover, the looks were symbolic of the songs and performers she was working for so with no sarcasm I say “well done Jeremy Scott for being a kick ass designer who designs for some of the coolest fashion houses in Italy as well as some of the top stars in the world on what has become one of the largest and most celebrated stage events in the world… the Halftime show at the Super Bowl. A huge boost for one of fashion’s greats.”
Looking forward to seeing them on the runway of the next capsule collection for Moschino.
