Google Doodle Gay Rights Sochi

Google Makes A Statement About Sochi

That the Olympics in Sochi are taken over by Putin’s bad attitude (by that I mean homophobic opinions) and terrible living conditions for the teams/media etc. I am so glad that Google had the mindset to tackle the bad attitude portion of this years olympics with a Google Doodle that can’t be misunderstood. The rainbow logo that features a medley of winter sporting events is set to make a stance against the homophobic laws and publicly announce their support for equality and following the letter of the Olympic Charter.

Under the search bar, the Google team has placed an important part of the charter reading:

“The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.” –Olympic Charter

I would really like for everyone to just accept that fact that some people are gay… some people are different colors… some people have different eye and hair colors… and when this is all settled and put to rest we can move on with our lives, watch some sports and I can get back to writing about what I’d rather be writing about… FASHION!

Hating is so out of season!

I have no love for Russia – then again I don’t tend to like people that hate for the sake of hating. I do however, really appreciate how the West is standing up and shining a light on the inequality many Russians face.
