Looks like everyone is in complete lust over Prada’s Spring 2010/2011 Collection including Marc Jacobs, Anna Wintour, and Gisele Bündchen. A few other names have taken to Prada including… Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. Names you definitely want to be wearing your label.
48 covers is almost a record in terms of looks from a single collections. Although these was that Louis Vuitton collection from last Spring. And the Chanel Resort collection from a few years back. In any event I personally think that if Anna Wintour decides to wear Prada for her cover on WSJ then the whole fashion world should follow suit.
It is funny though, how Prada could make a collection with such an impact and then make a men’s collection that sucks the ever living “F” out of “Fashion”. It is my humble opinion that as the magazines were calling to get pieces for the shoots and Miuccia Prada knew that the bread winning collection would succeed without a doubt, she overlooked her Men’s Fall Winter 2011 Collection. Read my full flesh ripping review of that hideous men’s collection here on the blog.
Anyway before I have a hate filled heart-attack I have to digress to the present and put my hands together (after popping some Valium and choking it back with wine) for Miuccia Prada as this was her baby and it was a fab show. For this collection, she deserves the compliments and the press.
Okay one more quick jab. Does anyone remember when D&G did the banana print collection. Exactly the same… just saying. Then again, Zara copied Prada this season so truly no one’s safe.
