I don’t even have something witty to say at this point. News has broke that John Galliano, the disgraced former Creative designer of Christian Dior, has now been fired from his namesake label, John Galliano.
This kick in the bejeweled junk is just another to pile onto the already heap, but is it the final coffin of Galliano’s career? The John Galliano label is 91% owned by Christian Dior, so it is not surprise in a way that Galliano was released from his responsibilities at the Galliano label but it is surprising that it was done so late in the game. It almost seems as though the powers that be are unnecessarily nailing Galliano to the cross and the reasons why are so old news at this point.
The man has already gone to and completed a rehab program in Arizona. It seems like Galliano is trying to get the help he needs for his troubled behavior back in the Parisian Café. So seriously Christian Dior…Why?
John Galliano will stand trial in Paris sometime in June and could face up to 6 months in prison. It seems as though, no matter what the verdict in the court of law, the judges in the fashion world have already decided John Galliano’s fate.
