Gaga for Vogue’s September Issue
The bigest issue of the year is going to feature the hottest pop icon right now, Lady Gaga. After her amazing album sales and incredible world tour sell outs, Lady Gaga continues to be on fire and rue the high fashion world with her over the top style and gun slinging antics. Forget a cone bra, Gaga does Machine Guns! The rest of her style choices get her as much fame and interest as most of the top pop artists combined. It only makes sense that Gaga be on the most influential cover of Vogue all year. After all when it is she who is topping the charts, there is no wonder that Lady Gaga should rule the magazine stands and sell a ton of copies for the worlds most recognized fashion magazine.
When Lady Gaga was on the March issue last year, the magazine sold record amounts of copies and dominated the print fashion publications. There is no doubt that Gaga will rule the racks for September even though all the other magazines are pumping out top notch issues as well. The fact is, regardless of how many subscriptions some of the other big names have, the amount of copies sold on the stands represent extra profit and Gaga is still interesting so the profits will be high. The newsstand increase was 13% last year making American Vogue Magazine of the year.
When advertisers heard that Gaga was going to be on the March cover they were contacting Vogue and wanted to be in the issue with her. It must have been an advertisers dream to work at Vogue during that month’s issue because al you would have had to do was answer the phone and take their credit card numbers. The amount of money the lovely Lady Gaga brings in to the products she endorses is tough to peg but it is in the area of a 9% growth (meaning when all the other magazines are experiencing a decline in revenue, Vogue is lapping up the profits and raking in the dough)… Good for them.
The September cover featuring Lady Gaga is already said to be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. I am over the moon to see the issue and can’t wait to show you images the second it is released!
