Guys Wearing Silver, Copper, Bronze, Gold and Other Metallics for Spring 2013
Sometimes metallics can be a bit of a challenge to style for women but men have it especially hard because there is often few choices on the market at any given time. Wee, come spring 2013 you won’t have to worry about that guys because there will be a smattering of designers that will release shiny fabrics in all your favorite colors. But will you be brave enough to try to wear them? These styling tips will make the decision process a much simpler.
Last year Prada had metallics in their menswear collection and I despised it. I really have to check my criticisms because sure enough when Miuccia chooses something for her designs (such as metallics) I should probably expect to see it in full force in a year in al the other collections. This rule helps with more avant garde styling including exploded prints or unusual notions including spikes or crystals.
Now for the things to avoid. Try to avoid looking likt the tin man. They may style models head to toe in metallics but use caution when you get the urge to blind oncoming traffic with your reflective suit. Also if you plan on wearing metallic underwear or hats, try to avoid wearing these:
And like the images states, try to avoid wearing them together if you must wear them.
