Rocking a Great Look at a Bad Party
Looking great is never a crime, but guess what is, hosting a bad party. I get that budget and other restricting factors come into play when hosting a party but here are some tips to avoid when doing it yourself
What to do when you’re hosting a party:
Splurge on lighting No matter the attendees, a party gets wilder the instant there are cool lights that flatter.
Have sexy friendly staff:
As a guest, walking into a party can be intimidating so make sure the staff are hand selected and friendly. Also, often guests want to now more about why a particular event is happening in the first place so getting staff to discuss the reason they are present and engage patrons is a must.
Be selective about venue:
A torn up carpet or unfinished dry wall makes a guest think you’re squatting in the building as opposed to actually hosting a fun gathering there.
Location Location LOCATION!
If your event is out of the regular party district then offer taxi chits to guests or some incentive for media travelling a great distance.
I could seriously go on but I’m not an event planner and that’s not why you’re here reading this so i’ll move onto the fashion aspect of the post.
What to do when you’re attending a party:
Ever feel like you’re overdressed? Isn’t it great? It’s like being royalty and walking through the streets. Enough is never enough.
Probably not the best point to bring up after my royalty comment but humility is one of the most incredible qualities a person can have. It’s attractive and makes you intriguing to speak to.
It doesn’t have to be exactly on time (depending on the event and venue) but it should be within a reasonable time frame… never early
Don’t color block to a white party. By this same logic, the more you know about a particular event the more you can be prepared and avoid embarrassment.
What I wore to the party :

Vintage velvet blazer,
Diesel corduroy pants,
