Olympic Wear from Ralph Lauren for USA, EA7 by Giorgio Armani for Italy, and Stella McCartney for the British Olympic Team.
Photos have been released of the outfits that the USA Olympic and paralympic teams will be wearing and the red, white, and blue polos look great on the fit men and women who will be competing for gold. The looks are designed for the London 2012 games for the opening and closing ceremonies. This won’t be the first time Ralph Lauren gets the honor of outfitting these stars, the Ralph Lauren label has been prepping the olympic and paralympic teams since 2008 for the Beijing Olympics as well as in 2010 for the winter Olympics in Vancouver.
The outfits that are shown in these press release pictures are different from the ones Ralph Lauren has designed for their casual day to day attire which will be reminiscent of the Olympicwear worn by the USA teams during the 1948 Olympics in London. Of course these new outfits will have the current USA Olympic team logo.
The entire collection which includes fleece zip-ups, polo tops, track suits, and (new this year) accessories such as tote bags, sunglasses, hats, and towels will all be available for sale come May 2012. Though the outfits look great and inspire national pride among American people, the Italians have a sweet deal as all of their clothing will be made by Giorgio Armani. The Italians will all wear clothing from the sporting wear line EA7 which is designed by Armani himself! Very Lucky. As for the Brits, they get clothing by Stella McCartney which are nice and athletic looking. Click here for the full collection of Stella McCartney Olympic wear. Stella went toward a more colorful look than the other designers but definitely pulled of a unified look throughout the entire collection.
