If you want to be safe for Spring 2012… Wear Safety Orange!
Okay it isn’t the most flattering color, nor is it the safest bet to wear to all occasions, but, it will certainly set you apart from others at similar functions and it will allow you to say (with confidence) “I’m a trend setter!”
What color of orange should you wear? Let’s start with a list of colors of orange that you should not wear in order to weed out any potential anti-trend threats.
Carrot Orange – This color is close but a little too dull for this particular trend, you want something that pops like a violent circus performer juggling machetes and beach-balls.
Sunset Orange, Red Orange, and… Orange Red – These are all just too overexposed in the red department for the Safety Orange trend.
Harley Davidson Orange – The Harley Davidson Orange is a bit on the brown side. right alongside Mandarian Orange, Fiery Orange, and Orange Roughy.
So after getting all those inappropriate oranges out of your system it’s time to look at purchasing the perfect color orange accessory or full three piece suit for Spring 2012. The color for anyone who is savvy enough to Google it is Hex #FF6600 and it is as you can see…. very bright. The best complexions for this are darker skin tones but if you are as fair as The Cullen’s never fear. You can don a trendy Safety Orange accessory just keep in ming the makeup you choose as well as your hair color. This trend as mentioned above won’t be fitting for everyone, especially not red hair. It is likely that wearing a scarf that matches your hair color will get you attention and people you know may say wow that looks great but they are completely biased and are really thinking… “Wow! Where did they go?” because the scarf will blend in with your features make this kind of optical illusion.
After it has been decided that you can in fact wear this epic trend, go out shopping!
Invest in one of the following brands that have shown Safety Orange in their Spring 2012 Ready-to-wear fashion collections.
Vena Cava, BCBG Max Azria, Cynthia Rowley, Donna Karan, and Michael Kors did Orange in a BIG way in both the men’s and women’s collections.
Finally some colors that go really well with this show stopping color khaki cream, olive, yellows, and true grey. The other obvious color choice would be browns of nearly every shade. from camel brown to cocoa brown.
