Stella McCartney Designs Olympic Costumes
Stella McCartney will forever be in history as one of the leading designers to champion Eco-Friendly fashion in clothing, accessories, and fragrances, and now she will go into the history books for designing the Olympic gear for the athletes.
The miles of spandex material will be used for all the athletes costumes who will be attending the 2012 Olympics and the Paralympic competitions set for London. A whopping 175,000 different types of clothing will be launched along with 538 different types of footwear for the spry athletes. What an honor to be included in the games. It goes without saying that the looks are hot hot hot! See for yourself.
McCartney was quoted as saying “was like nothing I’ve ever worked on before.” meaning it was quite the challenge and it was yes definitely unlike anything she’s done before. Do you think she was put n the spot? I mean that is a pretty silly quote. I’ve never designed a complete 175,000 piece collection for our cCountries athletes before for the express purpose of competing in the Olympics set to be seen here in London… Um yeah, no kidding.
I suppose it is a huge deal and she was probably nervous but in all fairness the looks are quite nice. A lot of black, a lot of union jacks, and pops of blues and (I’m going to call them) half-Jacks where only a select portion of the flag is displayed whether it is the corner or half, but it’s always there. I also have to say.. that Canada’s was better at the last games. Sorry It’s not my fault I have to say that! lol
But best of luck to all the athletes and even if Canada smokes you… you still look like gold medals! erm… Blue medals… with black around them… oh man I should have stopped at gold…
