The Subway is the Only Way
Today I ventured out and instead of taking a taxi or driving myself (be thankful that I don’t – I’m a terrible driver!) I decided to go below and hop the train. It comes every minute so I wasn’t worried about waiting too long and sometimes seeing the interesting people on the train make the journey well worth it. I decided to wear some hot red pants (not to be confused with red hot pants…) by Marc by Marc Jacobs, this angry green dog t-shirt in white by “Man Wear”, This black blazer by Canali, Prada winter boots, vintage Versace studded cuff, and a Prada studded belt (unseen).
If I fooled anyone to think I was a rocker I wouldn’t be surprised… I had more studs on my belt and cuff than Gaga at a Monster Ball. Although I wore mine with reservation and came across looking much more sensibly. I hope. The red pants were totally my favorite part of the outfit and I plan on grabbing the bright yellow one Marc Jacobs designed for Spring 2013 as well. For $450 it’s an unbeatable price for a cotton blazer in a color that’s as bright as the sun. I say this as a joke but I mean it because it’s impossible to find a blazer in that color and really truly impossible to find one in that fit. So I am indulging. (images of that blazer to come.)
And when the train finally approached and I saw the lights coming closer and closer I whipped out my plastic gloves and cautiously slinked onto the train looking like a complete psycho. Laugh all you want but TB is no laughing matter and I plan on avoiding it while on public transit.
