This past Saturday at the All White Affair we arrived in our white carriage (taxi) and were welcomed graciously by Rowena and Stacey from A Pleasury of who were also the ones who organized the event. I have to say they both looked amazing in their gowns designed by local designer Kelsey McIntyre and fascinators by Headcase Hats.
The event was a fundraiser for the movements dance group who was gracious enough to perform for us in the form of an interpretive dance and we got to enjoy the powerful vocal chords of Chanteuse, Kapri Thomas as she delivered a jazzy R&B song.
So… Why was I there? I was one of four celebrity judges. I was alongside the King of Roses Matthew St. James, the editor of Phabrik magazine and founder of Western Canada Fashion Week Sandra Sing Fernandes, and the winner of the SouthGate stylist challenge Brittanee Tomkow.
And… what were we judging? The best dressed of course! There were so many great looking people dressed so well, it was a tough role to pick just 3 males and 3 females.
The top female was wearing a full length gown with navy blue velvet accents. Stunning! And the top male wore a very cool jacket with a hood (Very Bottega Veneta) with a striped tie and white pants. He was all in white and that was the point. They looked amazing and really dressed to their styles while keeping with the all white theme. The runner ups were fabulous as well but sadly there can only be one.
What did I wear? Well that’s a whole different story. So check back tomorrow or sign up for my newsletter!
