My Top Ten Looks From the Resort 2014 Collections So Far
I am obsessing over the Resort 2014 collections and thought I throw together a quick post and include ten looks that I think are beautiful. Cumulatively they’re a whisper of a story detailing what’s to come for 2014 fashion. Or they’re just really pretty, but either way here you go.
1. Bejewelled Lanvin Armor
Oh how I love this look. It’s almost as if the dress is geared up and ready to hit the battlefield. The bejewelled numbered necklaces I could take or leave with this look but the subtle snakeskin wristlet is a keeper for sure.
2. Another Lanvin Look
Maybe it’s the way the lookbook was shot but I absolutely think this picture is award winning. It seems designers everywhere are stepping it up when it comes to their lookbooks probably because they want a piece of the social media smorgasbord.
3. Thom Browne Is Pattern Crazy
I love this man! his vivid imagination has placed him straight in my good books and this collection will keep him there… at least for another season. Look how the wallpaper matches the skirt. Just wow.
4. The Queen Has Arrived in Michael Kors
Yes your highness! This dress is astonishingly regal. It commands attention and can only be worn by a (thin) powerful women. Meek and mild? Step aside. Grab a pair when donning this Ready-To-Wear animal printed silk dress.
5. Versace White Out
“Sexy called… They want their dress back.” This white hot dress will be seen on the floor of many a bachelor pads if only because the lucky gal wearing this will be the hottest thing in any room she enters. Sometimes alluding to sexiness is so much hotter than letting it all hang out.

6. and 7. are Zac Posen WOW!
I’m not sure what it is about this model but she has an wicked talent for moving her body in odd ways that end up looking captivating. But regardless of who’s in the dress, the scallops and prints of this piece are delightful.
The blush dress below is worn by the same model and once again moves me into believing the dress is alive. Everything about this image is incredible including the ball gown. Zac Posen is SUCH a wizard when it comes to dresses.
8. Roksanda Ilincic is Rocking Out!
When I met Roksanda Ilincic a couple months ago I was taken aback by her tall statuesque frame and delicate mannerisms. And to be frank… I never thought the dress below would have come out of a soft spoken woman like that. But, here it is. The origami shoulders on an otherwise fitted silhouette is original and beautiful. I’m all over this princess gone futuristic look.
9. Pucci in Powerful Yellow
At first I didn’t notice the detailing on the front of this dress but when I did, it immediately made my top 10 list. I loved the silhouette but that embellishment took me over the edge.
10. Prabal Gurung in Jewel Tones
Whether it be the ruby reds in the flowers or the sapphire blue in the skirt this look is youthful and fun. The top looks to be made of a thick stretchy fabric giving you the freedom to ditch your Spanx! It’s win win. It’s totally win win.
Hope you got some shopping ideas for December when the Resort 2014 looks start to hit luxury retailers.
