Joseph Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2015 Is Striking
Thick wools, cropped and fitted jackets and an intense array of deep cut slits; the Altuzarra collection was as tough as it will be to style as it will be to sell but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t beautiful. In fact, it was the masculine qualities such as the military golden double breasted buttons, the sharp shapely shoulders, and buckled belted waists that balanced the otherwise near harletesque slits.
There was cheetah and fur accents, leather piping and detailing throughout but my favorite was the upper bodice embellishments on a handful of the looks. The leather straps sewn onto the white dress shirt and unseasoned green dress are the definition of an urban vixen. Truth is, there are a number of pieces that will do very well at the retail level and I’ve included my top picks in the images from Altuzarra
Some say the collection was inspired by French roots, but Altuzarra says specifically that the line was of English inspiration. Whatever the roots, the collection has a “B*tch Please!” type of attitude and, in short… kills it. We all know Joseph is talented and Pre-Fall 2015 was a testament to his creativity and character.
The collection will be in stores about June 2015 so you can start to shop the looks and ready your closet for the upcoming Fall. I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again, Pre-Fall shows you what”s coming for Fall and so far… it’s looking good. Deep navy and reds are definitely in for Fall so keep on the lookout and shop accordingly.
