Vogue’s 73 Question Series Is At The Very Least Entertaining
I got a kick out of the latest Vogue 73 question series where Vogue sanctioned camera man interviews Anna Wintour in a whirlwind 73 question rapid fire interview. The interesting hing (besides getting an interview this lengthy with Anna) it snakes through the Vogue offices, planning room AND secret heavenly closet! The sense of humor is certainly not lost in the interview as random question pour in and pop up from all manner of interviewers.
At one point while strolling through the Vogue closet, a man pops up and asks Anna which handbag he should get his girlfriend. Anna thinks and shoots her no-nonsense answer. “This one” (which happens to be a burgundy and black crocodile Proenza Schouler bg from the Fall 2104 runway collection in case you want to get what will soon be the most covetted bag of the season,) only seconds before he’s nearly escorted out the building by security. It’s just so thrilling!
I was surprised when Anna said the MOST fashionable literary figure was Scarlette Ohara, I would assume it would be Holly Golightly or HELLO, Effie Trinket!! But she’s Anna so who am I to question.
But her “Brooklyn is the new ‘Silicon Valley'” got me doing some research. What is now called Silicon Alley (dubbed so by Jason Denmark back in ’95) is the tech industry that surrounds Manhattan and resides in Dumbo Brooklyn. This area is booming with tech start-ups that focus on everything from fintech (financial technology), new media, digital media and of course game development. It’s no wonder this is how she views Brooklyn… from her computer… because let’s face it… Anna’s not stepping heel anywhere near Brooklyn!
I have to hand it to the Vogue team, this series has interviewed SJP, Blake Lively and Daniel Radcliffe to name a few. The A-list series is said to go on but I haven’t heard who is next. I’m hoping Rihanna or Lady Gaga. With their relationship with Vogue, it seems likely and it’d be a hoot!
Who do you think they should do a 73 questions with next?
