The fashion industry is at it again to raise money for relief efforts for the victims of the earthquakes and the tsunami in Japan. Uniqlo, the Japanese retailer and high street fashion brand, has rounded up 10 of the biggest celebrities and designers to design a collection of t-shirts. The “Save Japan” campaign has been partnered by Conde Nast, publisher of GQ Japan and Vogue Japan, curators and sponsor of the cause, and has used this connection to grab some of the hottest and most high profile figures it could get its hands on.
Lady Gaga, Blake Lively, Gwenyth Paltrow, Karl Lagerfeld, Alber Elbaz, Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Orlando Bloom, Cyndi Lauper and Victoria Beckham, are the 10 that have been announced who will take their hand at designing one of the high profile t-shirts. The t-shirts will be sold for $19.90 starting on June 25th, 2011 and all proceeds will go to Japan Red Cross.
