I don’t know how I feel about this particular subject matter, but in the name of fashion I will try to sort out my feelings.
It was recently announced that Gwyneth Paltrow, the singing, dancing, acting, condescending blogging, cooking machine would now be the face of Coach Inc. The brand that really has been keeping a low profile for the last few years has decided to come back with a bang in the form of the blond bombshell. Paltrow will be the face of Coach Inc.’s International Ad campaign this fall and next spring, which means they will mainly be released in Asia and Europe and not so much in North America.
When asked about her new position with the brand Paltrow had this to say:
- I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand. I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag.
I have to admit, neither components of this equation are even close to my favorite and it seems that Paltrow may be literally taking everything that comes her way, but good on Coach for seizing the opportunity of getting a mega star to become their ambassador.
I am curious to see what this partnership will do for the label, I really do hope it is as successful as it sounds.
