There are a few things all men should know how to do aside from hunting and gathering. Driving a standard is on the list. Cook a steak to perfection on the BBQ s definitely on the list. But tying a tie is another one of those unspoken rules that guys are simply expected to know.
Of course, we all know a friend or family member who can’t drive, is vegan or simply has no need for the formality of ties. And don’t worry, that doesn’t put their masculinity in jeopardy. But if you’re that guy who doesn’t know how to tie a tie, then this quick video is for you.
I put together a useful montage of three of my personal favorite ways to tie a tie including the traditional Half Windsor, Full Windsor and Merovingian knot from the Matrix.

You can find all the ties in the video at On Q Men’s Accessories.
Cool News! I’m doing a series of videos like this, all sticking to the tie theme and teaching you in depth ways to impress your buddies or just stand out from the crowd with something other than the same knot every Tom Dick and Harry has. Look out for the Trinity knot, the Triple Tiered Windsor Knot and something you’ve never seen before.
But because you’ve read on this far here is a sneak peek at the Trinity knot from my next video. This was one of my favorite knots to tie and the tie I used was a two textile tie half herringbone, half solid. SO COOL!
