When I was little… the only thing I wanted was of an action figure of myself. The reasons and complications of this desire run deep, I’m sure. That aside, it came at no surprise to me that Marc Jacobs was over the moon regarding his recent appearance on South Park as an action figure named “Muscle Man Marc.”
Though the near perfect replica of Marc Jacobs was destroyed in a pot of boiling water at the end of the episode, the memory will live on. Not because of re-runs or sales of season 15 when it is in stores, no no. The “Muscle Man Marc” doll will live on through the tattoo that Marc Jacobs himself recently got inked on his right arm.
What a great way to show your appreciation of something than to have it on your arm forever?
Marc was recently quoted as saying “Honestly, without hesitation, it is the greatest honor, I mean way above and beyond the lifetime achievement award, beyond anything. It’s like, to be immortalized on South Park, I can die a happy man.” In short I am surprised the tat isn’t proudly displayed on Marc Jacob’s handsome face much like the “Zombie Boy” Rick Genest… but with cuddly squeezable South Park Toys!
It is true that Marc Jacobs does indeed have other South Park toys already immortalized in amongst his other tattoo’s; Clyde Frog and Rumpletumskin. Though I still think the cartoon of Marc Jacobs from The Simpsons (Which he of course has tattooed somewhere as well) is pretty cool.
I think if I was on a cartoon I would love to be on Totally Spies. I can always relate to those fashion forward Totally Saucy Spies! That being said I certainly wouldn’t get them tattooed anywhere on my body… but who knows?
