The latest H&M collaboration has been leaked with pictures, videos, and more pictures!
Marni, a coveted Italian fashion house which is still relatively new (1994) and still… wait for it, family owned, is partnering up with the giant H&M for yet another collaboration this time for Spring 2012.
Marni, if you are not familiar, is a brand described as “European-inflected bohemianism” and it is know for it’s mixing of color, print, and shape as well as it’s sneaky sex appeal, as opposed to being forwardly sexual. The signature silhouette of Marni (started in 1994 by Swiss-born Castiglioni) personifies the Euro Bohemian by delivering relaxed working wardrobe for its customers, thanks to full-pleated skirts and dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knits.
The brand creates men’s, women’s, accessories, and fragrances making a perfect company for H&M. Though I suspect that it won’t be as popular as the Versace for H&M collaboration it will definitely bring in saavy fashionistas who are style focused and perhaps a bit more discerning when it comes to creating outfits day by day.
What can we expect to see? “As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic, adding sporty utilitarian elements,” Castiglioni said.
I remember working at Holt Renfrew when those Patent Balloon bags came out. O M G People went NUTSO for those things. That was one of the bags that we had a lineup and a pre-paid waiting list for! And they were’nt cheap. I wonder if Owner and Head Designer Consuelo Castiglioni will bring back the balloon bag H&M style for Spring 2012? We’ll have to wait in a line or wait for leaked pics to see.
Or you can just checkl back here and I’ll let you know as soon as I find out. Isn’t this the best fashion blog ever? I really care about your time!
