Fur and Fashion Week
What rhymes with fashion week? FUR…okay so it really doesn’t, but that shouldn’t suggest the two aren’t synonymous with each other. Fur and fashion week go hand in hand, but as we’re all dreadfully aware there are a number of social issues surrounding the topic of a lux fur piece. Enter Vintage! The environmentally friendly, non objectionable, while still getting your fab on fur.
The amount of people wearing fur at fashion week was astounding… then again, it was reezing out so that kind of makes sense. I was definitely one of those people (seen here rocking this vintage sable fur.
I love thinking about the retail price on this bad boy. Sable fur pieces can go for upwards of $40,000 US and are coveted in Russia. I got an amazing deal with this piece… not 99 cents but still well below market value.

The other thing about buying vintage fur is it is extremely ethical. You know it was already worn at least once before and at the end of the day when it’s worn and tattered you can toss it and it will biodegrade back into the world, become a plant, and make seeds for other furry creatures to eat. The circle of life and all.
Two of Kenton Magazine’s Best Including the Editor Outside the Tents in Toronto Vintage fur is not only light on your wallet but it keeps activists at bay (I kid… sorta of)…
And here is Alexander Liang of Kenton Magazine photo-bombing my shot. He’s so fun to take photos with.
