When Bright Colors Just Won’t Cut It… Enter Prints.
It’s no secret that I live loud, either in life, or in love, but the result is always enjoyable. My swatches for life are cohesive with my journey to indulge in interesting fashion. In a world where color and pattern are so absurdly accessible, why hide in the shades? “Fun” can be seen in the vivid print of a sun dress, the eye catching colors swirled on a floral scenic button-down or a flowing high-waisted full skirt drenched in sun and dabbed with Beauty of Rosemawr roses.
And for this, I turn to street style where examples of the finest prints this world has to offer can be seen week to week and day-to-day. This also begs the question, when will the powerful prints relinquish their grip on fashion? The first snowfall? In 2015? I have analyzed a few trend sources and I think it’s safe to say, that textiles of remark will trend long after the snow melts and Spring has sprung.
Last season was all about micro prints with tiny flowers on repeat, but the closer we get to fall, the more I saw that oversized and colorful prints were making an appearance. Either multiple shades of a similar color churning against each other or beefy dollops of opposing hues dancing to create memorable pieces of artful fashion, this is what we’ll see moving into Fall 2014 and beyond.
What do you think of these bold patterns and prints? Are they for you? Which designer makes your favorite prints? Tell me in the comments below. I’m starting to shop for Fall and want your input.
