Are Snapbacks In Style? Or Out?
A snapback is a wide brimmed baseball style hat that has the visor part of the hat flat across as if it has been snapped back, hence the name. They are often seen with gold stickers and other decorative accessories on them and are worn by all age groups but mostly the younger 13-25 age group. Now the question is… Are they in style? The term “in style” is subjective due to the fact that it really depends on who is calling the shots. In the world of high fashion, you aren’t going to see a lot of snapbacks, then again you don’t see many casual hats in general. So does that mean they are “out” of style?
As the popularity of snapbacks grows I have to say they are definitely a hot seller in stores and the style is definitely trending. Justin Bieber enjoys wearing his, not so much now but he did in the past. Nicki Minaj tends to rock one on and off. So the necessary celebrity endorsement is definitely there. Well they are almost all there… All they need is some from popular wizards and shirtless vamps then it’s golden!
There we go! Oh wait the vamp!
Okay there now we have all our bases covered. And after all that… I still don’t like them. I get that certain people love the things and wlll wear them regardless of what I think but at the end of the day I just can’t wrap my head around the style. I remember the first time I saw this on someone and I had an indescribable urge to run up to him and bend the thing with all my might. Fortunately for him I didn’t because I’m pretty strong and his snapback would have never snapped back from that.
