 Short Dresses and Skirts Trends

This trend may seem a bit unrealistic for certain countries (Russia, Canada) but for Pre-Fall 2012 a big trend is mid thigh hemlines on dresses and skirts.

Funny enough this hasn’t really crossed over from spring, it is an oddity in that regard but it is certainly seen from the Pre-Fall shows in a big way.

Zac Posen, Thakoon, and Chanel embraced the leg this season with well above the knee skirts an dresses. Skirts may not be an option for everyone so a couple designers showed leg in their own ways.

Donna Karan used slits up to the hips to show the required amount of leg for this trend while Theysken’s Theory used short shorts to elongate the leg and make the Pre-

For example Jason Wu who was so fashion forward was hesitant to show knee. The same went for Butberry Prorsum by Christopher Bailey and Calvin Klein. As for the designers who were more conservative, what they lacked in leg they made up for in train. Some of the dresses they were putting out needed their own Pippa Middleton to carry their massive excess. But that’s a whole other trend.

    yes I agree with you this fall look more sultry so short skirt is the answer + combine it with Chic Ginger color look more fantastic
