Challenge Autumn in Tweed
There’s no question, snow is on its way, and with it, a battalion of zombie-like ex-urbanites that… if you didn’t know it, would assume it was the apocalypse. They skitter through underground malls and stay out of the “cold” weather as if the air itself was infected by unhappiness itself. It’s time to fight back! Take matters into your own hands and combat Fall temperatures with a soft plushy tweed coat.
Breathable, easy to style and sexy… the tweed coat is my go to the instant weather dips to single digits (or whenever I get the urge to go underground). But updating this classic style is where things get fun. Instead of a boring matching pant, throw on comfortable pair of distressed jeans or your favorite skinnies. I used a knit skinny tie in place of a more traditional silk.
Classic is a trend in on itself but when you go too classic you can look… boring. To avoid this, break up your look by incorporating a trendy piece such as a chambray shirt, a peter pan collar, a pop of camo, or a contrast sole. I took the danger train to risk station and hoped for the best as I incorporated all four trends in this look.
What’s life without a little risk right?
Watch companies have been trying to push rose gold into the men’s market for a decade, but only recently has there been an insurgence to the decadent metal colouration. Fighting the snow isn’t easy when all the metals we wear are platinum, silver, or white gold, I chose to warm up with a sumptuous rose gold watch with a hearty brown strap for a classic look with a twist.
So this autumn, keep warm, don’t hibernate and stay stylish.
