Crystal Renn Vogue NipponEditorial:
What happens when you wear an outfit made entirely of one designer? A giant logo magically appears upon your head that serves as an advertisement to any and all who look upon you letting onlookers know which fashion house you support. Oh… You didn’t know?
Giampaolo Sgura was the mastermind behind Crystal Renn’s latest Vogue Nippon adventure in their November issue. The shoot was obviously styled by none other that the fabulously divine Anna dello Russo. From Valentino to Dolce and Gabbana the looks were loud and branded to the extremes. But it wouldn’t be complete without Chanel, Dior, Moschino, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Vivienne Westwood! … There isn’t a translation for “AMAZEBALLS” in Japaneses so I had to settle for: 驚くべき ! (if you know how to wite Amazeballs in Japaneses, I would flip out!…leave a comment if you know below).
I’ve heard of being a label whore but is this taking things to a new level? Either way, Crystal Renn is one of the only models I know who could take this story from quirky and exotic, to sexy and strong then back again. Such diversity!
I might make some enemies here but top three favorite looks are the Prada, followed by the Dolce and Gabbana, then the Moschino, minus the chicken head piece. That being said let’s be real that Dior gown is to die for (and that is my favorite sign/hat) and that Valentino fur is… Too gorgeous for words (and enter PETA stage left).
