Should I Wear a Sweater With Shorts?
Cold arms and burning hot calves? Here’s the look for you!
May is the perfect month to go out and snap some pics of sweet smelling cherry blossoms, tulips in bloom or new architecture that sprouted up over the winter months. And as great as mother nature can be through the lens of my Canon… street style still offers up more for my mind’s eye to nash on.
A good snap at the right moment can get you a riveting pic. Timing is everything. On that note… wearing a sweater in May seems ludicrous. However, before you go out in Summer in a thick jumper, choose wisely. Pick a fabric on the thinner side of the spectrum. Swap out cashmeres, wools, and chunky knits for thin summer cotton, gauze and lightweight bamboo or other natural organic blends.
As for shorts, apparently some guys hate their knees? I’ve never had that problem but apparently it’s pretty common. What is there to hate? Skinny knees? Real meaty knees? They’re just knees? Maybe you have a forest of hair JUST on your knees…??? Or maybe it’s calf envy? Stick leg syndrome? In any event, they’re the only legs you’re gonna get this lifetime, think of your body as a tool and this includes getting over hairy knee syndrome … … Or whatever your “issue” is.
#MaleIssues aside… I decided to finish the look with a good driver. I think this us my shoe style if the season. Comfortable beyond belief. Slips on and off in a blink and comes in every brand, color and fabric combo imagibeable. But to mention budget. You can be have Tod’s taste but be on a Zara budget and still hack this trend to DEATH! Selection is staggering.
On a final note, if it’s really hot out. Don’t wear a sweater. If it’s hot enough for shorts, think twice about wearing a sweater. I like the look, but it has to be warm enough with a cool breeze. Or at a garden party, patio drinks or ball game that goes well into the night so you’ll be prepared for when the chill of night sweeps in.
